Current statusWe don't have any partner businesses yet. Right now, requests submitted on our forms go to OC Stone Guide only and aren't shared with any other business. This page describes how partnerships will work once they're in place; we'll update it, and our privacy policy, when they start.
OC Stone Guide is free to use. To keep it that way, we plan to partner with a small number of local businesses:
- One featured stone dealer, who receives requests from homeowners who want to buy materials or samples, and may appear in "Featured Stone Dealer" spots on the site and in the buyer's guide.
- Featured installers (no more than one per service area), who receive requests from homeowners who want installation, and may appear in "Featured Installer" spots.
These partners may pay us a monthly sponsorship and/or a fee per request. Paid placements are labeled. Links to partners are marked as sponsored.
How lead sharing works
- You choose what you need on our form.
- Buy materials / samples: your request goes to the featured stone dealer.
- Full installation: your request goes to the featured installer for your city.
- Both: the installer receives your request, and the dealer may be told which stone you're interested in.
- Just researching: we don't share your details with anyone.
Your information goes to at most two partner businesses. We never sell it to lead brokers or list resellers.
How we keep content honest
- Sponsors don't edit or approve our stone guides, comparisons or cost data.
- We cover trade-offs, including when a cheaper material or a non-sponsor option is the better choice.
- Cost ranges cite public sources.
